- What services does Downey Steam Service offer?
- We build and repair driveways, build and repair ponds, clear land, perform grading and dirt work, and place rock and aggregate for Oklahoma properties.
- What areas do you serve?
- We are based at 18878 Highway 76, Lindsay, OK 73052 and work across Oklahoma, including the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metros, Ardmore, Chickasha, El Reno, Enid, Guthrie, Lawton, McAlester, Muskogee, Stillwater and Woodward.
- Do you work with government programs and offices?
- We have experience working with state and government offices including DEQ, OCC and FSA. Tell us about your project and any program requirements when you call.
- Are you insured?
- Yes. Downey Steam Service is a family-owned and insured operation with more than 15 years in business.
- Do you offer free estimates?
- Start the quick quote or call us to discuss your property. We will review the site and work needed before providing a clear quote.
- When are you available?
- Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 7am to 8pm. Weekend appointments are available.
- What kind of material should I use?
- That depends on soil, traffic and drainage. We inspect the site and recommend the right base and surface material for the property.
- Can you build long ranch roads?
- Yes. We build private drives and access roads for homes, farms, ranches and commercial properties.
- Can an old driveway be saved?
- Often, yes. If the base is usable, reshaping, drainage work and fresh aggregate can restore it without a complete rebuild.
- Why do potholes keep coming back?
- Standing water and poor drainage are common causes. We look at the grade and water flow before recommending a repair.
- Do you build new ponds?
- Yes. We evaluate the site, intended use and access before planning the excavation and spoil placement.
- Can you repair a leaking pond?
- Some leaks can be corrected through dam, core or soil work. We first inspect the site to determine the likely cause.
- What happens to cleared material?
- The handling method depends on the property and scope. We discuss disposal, piling and site cleanup before work begins.
- Do you clear small properties?
- Yes. We quote work based on access, material and scope rather than requiring a set acreage.
- Can you fix drainage around a drive or pad?
- Yes. We assess how water moves across the site and reshape the grade, ditches or outlets as needed.
- Do you haul material?
- Material needs vary by project. We can discuss soil, rock and aggregate requirements during the site visit.
